1. Clearance Aisle
Did you know that Staples, like Wal Mart, has a dedicated Clearance Aisle? They are usually large and hold a variety of stuff you might not typically source. Such as office supplies, kitchen goods, electronics, and educational materials.
When sourcing unfamiliar products be sure to check Keepa for the price history, 30 and 90 day averages and average price before deciding to purchase.

Also be sure to check Jungle Scouts FREE sales estimator to find out how many you should purchase of an item. Especially if it’s a category you aren’t familiar with.

Office Products - 70,000
Computers & Accessories - 20,000
Kitchen - 260,000
You should always check these things… but I recommend it even more so at Staples because they have a very short return window of only 7 days.
2. Clearance Caps
In the past it seemed as though all the clearance was contained in the clearance section mentioned above. Recently, I started to notice clearance caps throughout the stores as well!
Be sure to take the little bit of extra time to stroll through the entire store. You might be able to spot some of these additional clearance sections. This is an extra step you can take to ensure you don’t miss any additional opportunities.
Not to mention Staples stores are usually small, so it should be quick!
3. Rewards Program
If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for staples reward program! It’s totally FREE and the more you spend, the more benefits you will unlock.
You will start out on the Basic reward level which will get you 2% back on purchases and some other really great rewards. If you spend more than $1000 in 12 months you can earn 5% back on your purchases and even more rewards.

4. Hot Deals
The weekly ad runs Sunday to Saturday so be sure to check out the “Hot Deals” on Sunday to look at what is on sale and learn about any amazing deals that will be available that week!
The ad is available online or in the app.
5. Digital Coupons
Also available on the app is glorious DIGITAL COUPONS!
Sundays just got a little more holy. That’s because every Sunday Staples will publish their digital coupons for the week! You can find these on the app located in your “wallet”. We will talk more about the app in just a sec.

6. Get the app
OK, OK, OK, I keep mentioning this app! That’s because it is your all access pass to everything amazing Staples has to offer!
Download it at the App Store, log in and this is how you will accesss your offers, coupons, track your purchases and track your available rewards.
My Staples associate was nice enough to set mine up for me on my phone to ensure I was using my existing Staples account.
7. Cash for Trash
This might be one of the most exciting part!
Staples will pay you $5 in reward dollars for your trash such as old keyboards, PC’s, screens, laptops, printers. You can bring multiple items in, and the rewards will be issues out once a month.
So let’s say you bring in 5 items worth $25. You would get $5 reward dollars for the next 5 months! Yaasss!
They will also pay you $2 in reward dollars for your empty ink cartridges! Between 10-20 a month depending on your reward status.

8. Not just for sourcing
Staples is a business owners dream come true. It offers office supplies, shipping supplies, boxes, tape, ink, chairs, printing services, shipping services and oh so much more.
So don’t think she is just here for sourcing, she can help you in a ton of other ways, too!

9. Shop Online
Like most stores in modern times, you can also shop Staples online. This can come in handy for your sourcing and business needs.
Some really great features include - You can shop clearance, get FREE delivery on orders over $25 or pick up in-store.
They also have Auto Restock options for things like tape, bubble wrap, ink, paper, labels, replenishables …. whatever your heart desires. So you can set it and forget it!
IMO The more outsourcing and automations you can add to your life…. the better!
10. Earn Cash Back
