How to Shop Small Businesses on Amazon

Did you know you can shop nearly 2 million small and medium-sized businesses on Amazon?
If you are looking to support small businesses this holiday season AND shop on Amazon, you are in luck.
I am going to show you how you can shop small businesses on Amazon in 3 easy steps.
Step 1 - Shop
Head over to Amazon.com and pick out an item you are looking to buy. It can be any item you want!
For this example I am looking at these Burt’s Bees gift sets.
Before you add your item to the cart, check out step 2 below.
Step 2 - Buy Box
Now that you have picked out your item, head over to the “Buy Box”. That is the box to the right of your screen on a desktop, where the ‘Add to Cart” button is located.
If you are shopping on your phone it will be the area below the product image. Shown below.
Here is the important part!
Before you tap that “Add to Cart” button check to see who the product is “Sold by”. You DO NOT want to add it to your cart if it says “Sold by Amazon.com”.
I mean… you can if you want, and for some products it might be the only choice, but you wouldn’t be shopping one of the small businesses on Amazon!
What if it doesn’t say Sold by Amazon.com? What if it says some other name?
That means you can add to cart and you just ordered from a small business! Congrats.
Check step 3 to find out how to be sure you are shopping a small business.
It’s so simple!
Step 3 - Other Sellers
Below the Buy Box you will find a section labeled “Other Sellers on Amazon”. Tap on that!
This will open a list of small businesses you can purchase the product from.
Now you will likely see, Sold by - and the name of a small business.
Here is where you will add the item to the cart.
BOOM! You did it! You just ordered from Amazon AND supported a small business. Was'n’t that easy?
