So Cal Vacation Recap
Took a week off from sourcing to to on a little adventure to Southern California. #workhardplayhard
If you want to know where to go, and what to do in Southern California, keep reading for the So Cal Vacation Recap!
First stop, Solvang, CA
Solvang is known for it’s windmills and wine! If you decide to visit you must check out one of the many wine tastings available.
We also enjoyed the food here, my favorite was the oysters at the Vaquero Bar.
Overall an adorable little town with trolly carts, shops and ostriches…. yes, they have giant goofy birds and you can feed them!
Santa Barbara
On the way to Santa Barbara we went up winding roads to see some “painted rocks.” and a man made lake. One of my favorite things to do is to get out of the car and hike around.
TIP: Wear good shoes so you can get out and explore. Flip flops was not a good choice for me.
Once in Santa Barbara we went to the wharf for a yummy lunch and walked around a bit.
Chumash Casino
We just so happened to notice the Chumash Casino along our route so we pulled in to do a little gambling.
We went to the casino with $100 and walked away with $150 in less than an hour. Spending our big winnings on a nice dinner.
If you like casinos, you will love the Chumash Casino and Resort! It was lovely.
Santa Monica
We drove through Malibu to get to Santa Monica, which was a nice drive. Once there, we went to the Santa Monica Peer and had a great time.
Here you can play games and enjoy some rides. We chose the ride the roller coaster two times and take a spin on the Ferris wheel.
The beach was so pretty and there are plenty of spots to sit down and have a nice lunch with a beautiful view.
I highly recommend the Marina Del Rey Marriott. The room and staff were awesome here.
Last Stop, Los Angeles
Here we weren’t able to do much because I had to work remotely and my hubby had school.
We did take a break at one point and hike up to the Hollywood sign for a few photos.
The best part about LA was meeting up with a friend named Rebecca. She is a super inspirational Virtual Assistant coach and so much more.
If you, or anyone you know is wanting to learn more about becoming a Virtual Assistant check out her website HERE.
I am looking forward to going back to SoCal in October to check out Disneyland and Universal Studios for the first time.
Overall it was a really fun trip! I hope I was able to give you a few ideas of where to visit the next time you are in Southern California.
