I love selling on Amazon but I love traveling even MORE! Even if it’s only an hour away.
To kick off the end of the quarter, the end of my full time job and the beginning of my new job title. I took a little visit to the Winchester Mystery House
William Winchester
William Winchester invented the Winchester Rifle which was an incredible invention at the time. The sales of this rifle made him a very wealthy man.
Unfortunately William died of tuberculosis in 1881.
Sarah Winchester
When William died he left his fortune of over 20.5 million dollars to his wife Sarah Winchester. Sarah not only lost her husband but her infant daughter died of a rare childhood disease.
Sarah was very sad and depressed from the loss of her family so she looked for comfort from a phycic
The physic told her that she was being haunted by the souls that the Winchester rifle had killed.
She was told also to move out west and continuously build so that the sound of the building would keep the spirits away.
So that is what she did!
The Estate
Sarah started building her mansion and never stopped. As a result the Winchester Estate in San Jose California was made.
